Heavy-Duty Cleaner / Degreaser

WISE Heavy-Duty Cleaner/Degreaser™ (HDCD) is a highly concentrated bio-based product which uses the power of Colloidal micelles to tackle the most challenging cleaning situations. HDCD is an extremely effective cleaning solution, capable of removing all hydro-carbon soils (petroleum derivatives, fats, oils, greases, lipids, proteins, and sugars). When the micelles penetrate into dirt and oils, they break them into billions of little particles that constantly repel each other, making it impossible for them to stick back together or re-deposit on a surface.

Safe for use on any surface including metal, aluminum, fabrics, vinyl, rubber, painted surfaces, and leather. WISE Heavy-Duty Cleaner/Degreaser can be used as an ingredient and mixed with alkalis, certain types of salts and acids, surfactants and petroleum solvents, in most cases greatly enhancing the effectiveness of these agents.  Its rinsing, water softening and cleansing action actually prevents re-deposition of waste onto cleaned surfaces. This product is readily biodegradable (97% within 28 days), non-toxic, non-corrosive, non-hazardous, non-caustic, non-flammable, and hypoallergenic. It does not contain ozone depleting substances, synthetics, terpenes, petroleum distillates, glycol ethers, caustics, builders & reagents, or California Proposition 65 Chemicals.

Technology Highlights

Micelles are sub-microscopic, electrically charged particles that, when activated in water, repel each other in a ceaseless random movement.  Micelles in liquid solution measure sub micron in size, 50 to one hundred times smaller than the particles created from typical cleaners and detergents. This small size and their extreme surface-area-to-volume ratio enable the micelles to penetrate complex carbon molecules, and emulsify organic matter.

Application

WISE HDCD can be used in pressure washers, foamers, steam cleaners, soak tanks, or simply spray and wipe.  It can be applied by spray, soak, swab, or steam. For industrial applications, this product is perfect for cleaning grease, oil or grime off parts, components, or equipment; it can be used for oil spills (petroleum or vegetable oils), waxes, built up greases, on fume hoods, etc. As a wall cleaner, HDCD does an exceptional job on virtually any surface. It is safe on paint, and will not take the plasticizers out of acrylic type wall coverings and wall papers. As a wood cleaner, HDCD is completely safe with no adverse effects such as spotting, streaking, or raising of the grain. It can be used on doors, desks, tables, furniture, etc. As a metal cleaner, it is excellent for the removal of mill and processing oil. No oil forms on the water, and rinsing is complete. Use in spray wash systems to clean without foaming at a dilution of 1 to 5 to 10 parts water. WISE Heavy-Duty Cleaner/Degreaser inhibits rust formation as long as there is a thin film on the metal surface. Apply a thin spray of 1-to-1 dilution for rust prevention. A potable water rinse is required for all surfaces in sanitary food processing areas.

Suggested Dilutions

This highly concentrated cleaning solution can be used at dilution as strong as 5:1 or as gentle as 128:1.  The following dilutions are general recommendations, adjust as needed: General Cleaning: For general janitorial, schools, hospitals, homes, general cleaning, pressure washer, vehicle washing, marine & office. Mix 1 part conc. to 20 to 50 parts water. Medium Cleaning: Mix 1 part conc. to 30 parts water. Heavy Cleaning: For work areas, oily or badly soiled floors & carpets, manufacturing, food processing areas, heavily stained walls and doors, diesel & gas engines, auto parts, oil & grease, paint stains, dried on food, concrete & brick, grass or plant stains. Mix 1 part conc. to 5 to 10 parts water.
Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for colloidal cleaning products: Dilute to activate, only add concentrate to water, apply to surface, scrub or agitate, wait 1-3 minutes for the micelles to do their work at breaking down the carbon chain, then wipe or rinse off.
